That one is from the late '80's-early '90's and I actually used to have one like it. It will make a nice picture if the CRT is still strong and if everything is adjusted right.

KV-27TS20.... Great set, horrible CRT. It had the infamous A68JMT50X, which got gassy in a year or two. It upgrades to the A68KZJ50X; a much better tube. Anyone who grabs it, might want to see which tube's in there, and act accordingly...

According to the listing, it states that it has trouble coming on. It's either the lytics drying out, or the CRT is a little funky. I like Sony's, but that is a little too much of a gamble.
P.S. Is that the Sony side of the street.

I'm sort of surprised that anyone cares enough about a BPC set to post it here.

That's something that someone should set fire too.. It would make a good light show, especially if it's turned on during the process.

Remember the TV episode of "The Secret Life of Machines" on "Tellies" where they did just that ?!? I seem to remember an EVIL grin on Tim Hunkin's face...Think he was gettin' a Kick outta that "Wall o' Tellies" sputting, sputtering, fizzing, popping, & dying...Mbwahahahahahaha..

Sandy, remember it well i used to love that show when I was a kid, watched it and "invention" on The Discovery Channel whenever it was on, have it on crappy SLP VHS but also downloaded the entire unedited series to my iPhone. There was at least 1 Sony in that fire and some interesting HMV and Thorens sets.

What needs to be done to most BPC is the Rodger Daltrey treatment, tossed into a swimming pool while plugged in and turned on.

If enough BPCs are done this way, trashing something older (with a smaller screen) will really go out of style.

Pour some salt in it, then pour some water in it, and watch it sizzle.. Take a blow torch and finish it off.. That is all..
