Ikegami HL-79E

I have a couple of ikegami HL79E cameras - one of them had some picture alignment issues and a friend told me the battery must have been dead - I took it out to check but it seemed ok but one on the pins broke off... a techie friend was able to get it back on the board ok.

However now it wont even give a picture with stable sync, the viewfinder seems to show its camera output ok, but not via the main video output to a tv.

Now I am told that its been reset and all settings come from an external setup box, which without it, its basically stuffed.

Frustratingly i used to have the external setup box but the friend who gave me the box and cameras wanted the box back (after I'd taken the battery out)

I wondered if anyone thats familiar with this camera can tell me..is it at all possible to ressurect the camera without that box?

Unfortunately i dont have any manual or paperwork for it
