Wow, so after using this TV a lot the past few days, the picture sure has cleared up. I mean seriously, it's SHARP and the colors no longer seem to bleed as bad as they used too.

I'm posting this AFTER having just watched the movie after I filmed that. It's funny, I'm 25 now, but I still find this movie emotional.

PS: I find that this LaserDisc player, a CLD-2090, puts out a FAR better picture than my DVHS deck, DVD player, or Roku box.. Colors are more correct, not over saturated, has good balance, and actually has absolutely ZERO problems with interlacing line pairing problems, whereas the digital sources, the fields keep getting paired for some reason. This is all going to the same RF modulator btw.

That's a very sharp (no pun) picture, especially when you went in for the closeup. With use, the heat from operation dried out a lot of coils and connections for you and cleared up the picture.

Nice. and will out last modern junk being foisted on dumb consumers today.

Samsung did not get where they are now by selling junk then. Looks great.

That digital stream box is a good choice also. That and the Zenith boxes seem to be the easiest to use.

I like the digital stream too. Only complaint about mine is the sound tends to go super treble every one in a while.

I will say this, after watching this LaserDisc, I was shocked at how well the color reds come out. They are nearly perfect, in my eyes.

Sure, there's a little blooming in the red on the second shot, but that is a LOT of saturated reds in that scene. (And I calibrated the TV to the LD THX disc).

Quite nice, in fact. Reds and browns were the hardest colors to get right on Laser Discs.
