Um, no. Not with the complete inventory. But thanks for chiming in.

miniman82 04-03-2012 07:30 PM

Maybe not, but I believe a few had already contacted the seller to see if there was anything worth saving. Phil got one of them, I think.

bandersen 04-03-2012 08:29 PM

I think Eric H did too, and so have I now (the 21CEP4) :)
They've relisted them several times and the inventory varies. I don't recall a 16GP4 last time around. Makes me wonder what else might turn up ?

ohohyodafarted 04-03-2012 09:40 PM

I got the 16GP4.

Einar72 04-03-2012 10:32 PM

I never heard back via e-mail and they didn't answer their phone Thursday or Friday, NOW they put up the 21's and hopefully the one I need is still there...

Seller has lots of Can Caps too. See sellers other items.

Phil Nelson 04-03-2012 11:18 PM

Yes, I got a 17BP4 from them in December. Very nice.

Caveat emptor on NOS can caps. They might be as funky as any electrolytic that sat in a TV for the same number of decades.

Will a 21AMP4 sub for 21BSP4?

Auction is closed. Didn't answer e-mail or phone again today.

Phil, how much did they charge for shipping?

Einar72 04-04-2012 11:35 AM

Heard back from them. Waiting for shipping quote.

Phil Nelson 04-04-2012 12:29 PM

The UPS charge for the 17" tube was $15.

They relist the auction everytime a CRT is sold and update the list. There's a shipping quote too. $23.37 to Chicago currently. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-NOS-...-/290694256022

It would be interesting to see if that is the case but I'm not willing to part with nine bucks plus to prove it one way or the other. The question being do the old can caps go bad just by sitting there or do the go bad through some years of use and then just sitting there.

From what I've read and experienced they do go bad just sitting on a shelf. Especially if stored in extreme environments. The problem is the electrolyte breaks down or dries out.

It sure looks like it. They are bundled in the same Sylvania data sheet: http://www.bunkerofdoom.com/tubes/sy...RTS/21ACP4.JPG
