Picked this guy up as a "covered with dirt and grime local" Craiglist find. The set actually played perfectly after a controlled power up while hooked to my cable. However, after a couple of power-ups, the visual image became distorted with the "big forehead" syndrome display first becoming evident, followed by shrinking vertical. I decided not to power this up anymore until I decide what I want to do with it. If anyone has the correct contrast and vertical knobs, for it. let me know. The set has a GE replacement CRT and it had an aftermarket antenna assembly screwed to the back, which I removed. (It was brown plastic and looked ugly).

Nice find! These sets are kind of a pain to work on but I think they look cool.
Here's what those knobs look like from my set. I might have some spares. I'll check and let you know.

Thanks - other than the tuner, my set actually has clear knobs that have yellowed with age. The volume and contrast have gold inserts on top. I'm presuming the vertical control is the same.I substituted one that looked similar just to get it in the set. If you look closely at the volume control on mine, you can actually see a tiny pointer. I'll have to get a picture.
