Dagger of the mind? That's a Star Trek episode.

Shakespere IIRC, both shows were based on actors in a play.

I saw part of the Columbo movie "Dagger of the Mind" on MeTV, which has been here in northeastern Ohio since early this past summer (channel 19.2, a subchannel of the CBS affiliate in Cleveland; wasn't able to see it until I bought a flat-panel TV in August this year, but believe me, it was well worth the wait). Glad to see these movies on MeTV on weekends -- they were among my favorite shows on NBC when they were new. You can be sure I will be watching as many of the Columbo mystery movies on MeTV as I can. I have the first season of Columbo on DVD, but don't recall offhand if "Dagger of the Mind" is on that collection or not -- will have to take a look later on today.

I hope MeTV will pick up the rest of the 1970s NBC Mystery Movie series as well, as these were very well-made films the likes of which we will never see again.

BTW: IMHO, Hollywood these days is (or at least seems to be) more interested in making films loaded with sex and violence than producing true mystery and detective series, but I guess that's what today's viewers are asking for, in theaters, on TV and on DVD. I like the older detective shows from the '60s-'70s and am finding it difficult to find them on Netflix; that is, they are available, but it takes some looking to find them anymore. Also, I am finding that more and more movies offered by Netflix are available only via streaming video, a format I cannot presently use as I do not have a streaming video box or digital cable box (my FP TV has an ATSC clear QAM tuner, so I don't need an external box). However, I received an email the other day from Netflix stating that they have no intention of abandoning DVDs by mail and "are done" with price increases, so I shall stay with them for the time being. I don't want a box on my TV anyway with all its cables and so forth, which is what I would need if I had, for example, a Roku, Boxee, et al. streaming video box along with no-box (channels 2-99) digital cable.

Metv has once a week airings (sat and sunday) which I think makes a lot of sence, Star Trek everyday would lose its appeal, something about having to wait (just like back in the day) for a show to come on.

I would like to see some of those old movie of the week shows tha tABC used to play (theater releases that were a few year old), a few I recall off hand

duel, gargoyles, death takes a holdiay (remember how monte markum was everywere for a few years), just to name a few.

Batman is great fun, oh and one I dont even remember but is on "thriller" hosted by boris karloff, I dont remember that one as a kid.

there is not a single new TV show that is new that I follow.
