Basic Television Vol. 1-5 (Rider Publication) on Ebay

G'day all.

I found something that may be of interest, someone is selling on CD Basic Television Vol. 1-5 (Rider Publication) on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/160632650673

I personally wanted to buy a copy but the seller doesn't offer international shipping.

Anyways there's a lot of good stuff in those publications for all you TV tech's out there! :) The seller is also selling other vintage TV/radio and other electronic related tech books in CD format in his Ebay store.

Cheers
Troy

Aussie Bloke, have you written to the seller?

It is a major pain for small low price mail order sellers to ship internationally and easily made shipping errors can generate negative feedback for the seller.

Do you have a paypal account? If so, you might offer to pay him that way and have him send you the files electronically instead of sending the actual CD.

If you want a copy, let me know and I will buy it and send it to you. My daughter and family live in Melbourne, VIC. I mail to and talk to Oz all of the time. I am coming back to Melbourne in October of this year.

Please let me know! PM would work...

I tried to email the seller but the seller has his/her account set out so the only answers are provided in the FAQs which I cannot at all send a personalized question to the seller!

There is a way around that problem. eBay tries very hard to give you structured Bovine Scat answers. But you can get around it!

Bottom line, I have purchased two of the CDs. When they arrive, I will send one to you...

Huh ???

In the US when you view that auction, there is an active "contact the seller" link near the bottom of the page. That link goes straight to the seller's mailbox. Is that link visible from Australia?

We have worked out a solution. Our friend "Down Under" will be receiving a copy very soon...

Once someone (or two) gets a copy, I'd be interested in your review of the content. I like having a variety of old books for reference, since each has its own way of explaining subjects, and often one will contain little nuggets that others don't.

Phil,

Shoot me a PM in a few days to remind me. I will be away from Tuesday until Friday. By then, I suspect it will be in my mail box. Anything I can do...
