If this is too off topic I apologize but found this comic today that seems to describe the attitude of many here on VK.

I have an 8-Track Player, and I still buy tapes for it.

Well, why throw away a good, useful set? As long as you can get a converter box, you're set to go. I don't care if I watch a program in hi-def, standard def or even 405 line British, if the program is good, then I would watch it. Recently, we got a 1999 Sony 36 inch set (standard def) from my aunt who got a new HD flatscreen so we semi-retired the 1982 Zenith but it still gets a bit of use when I'm in the computer room working and/or Mom kicks me back when I sit in the room to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers if she thinks I'm a jinx. :) BTW, that Sony was one heck of a set to get into the house, it is so heavy. No more CRT TV's above 25 inches for me. ;)
