Early- or Late-1970's?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Zenith-7...#ht_2345wt_907
The turntable and stereo system look a little more contemporary so I was thinking late-1970's. It also has push-button tuning rather than a single knob. Any thoughts? |
Late '70's chromacolor II. It's a good TV chassis; but, has a cheap imported stereo chassis. No where near the quality of the '75 Zenith combo that recently passed through Doug's hands. And, for what they want for this one, they'll probably have it a while.

Mid-70s. It's probably a 25EC45 or 25FC45 upright chassis; could be as late as '77.

They have it listed as a SJ2597P that would make it a '78.

Actually, there were "K" and "L" vertical chassis CCII sets. I have a 25" steel cabinet 25KC45 from '79 (delta gun tube) and my daily watcher is a 19" "K" chassis from '79 that uses an inline tube. And, I just gave away a late '79 23LC45 23" CCII console with delta gun tube. AFAIK, the 23LC45 was the only vertical chassis produced for the 1980 model year. And, I also have the first generation "K" line 19" System 3 that was made in '78 for the '79 model year. For a couple of years, the system 3 and the CCII sets were made side-by-side.
