If all you need is the glass, a glass shop can cut you a piece for a few dollars. Bring a chunk of the broken one for them to look at.

Appreciate The Plexiglass Idea...Is There A "Go-To-Guy" For T-100 Parts? Thanks...Radiola ( Mark)

I guess I've never looked that closely at the glass on my T-100. If the gold mask really is laminated inside glass layers, a glass shop won't be able to do that. Possibly you could cut a mask from gold paper or plastic and glue it to the back of a plain piece of glass. Or make a stencil shape and spray paint the mask on the back of the glass.

If you're searching for an original, you can place a WTB ("want to buy") ad in the Classified section of this forum. That's where people buy/sell/trade such things.

Is the glass leaded for X-ray protection? What's the dimensions? Are the sides or corners mitered or rounded?

Electronic M 06-22-2011 06:48 PM

I believe the corners are rounded on that model. My 9-T-246 has the same cabinet as a T-100, and the corners on it's glass are rounded.

I have a glass identical to that one, taken off an RCA decades agao. If it's identical to the T-100 then we can work something out. That's why I wanted to know exact dimensions.

The dimensions of mine are 11 15/16" by 8 13/16" There are a few light scratches and dried gunk of some sort in the middle of the glass, but the gold trim is flawless (better than in this picture.). I worked on TVs in the 1960s and I kept the safety glass of every TV I scrapped. This one has been wrapped in newspaper since that time.
