I'll have to admit that does look pretty cool.

You know if a modern company came out with a set that had a console that pretty, even if it had modern internals, im sure theyd have a very strong niche market. Id be buying one for sure.

Well. I don't know what to say. As long as I can keep my Porthole original I will and I personally wouldn't do that to a Porthole but I guess if I had to someday to keep it from being just a piece of furniture with a non working chassis and no more picture tubes or flybacks were available to keep her running I only hope I did as good as good a color conversion as they did.:thmbsp :

Looks like they could center it up vertically better. Great looking cab tho. WOW!

Drat this model doesn't have the right pencil box door for my set. Ohh well, guess I'll keep looking.

No question, allmost every one of us would prefer an original set. Otherwise this set shows how a tv or home entertainment center could look unique today. This device is definitely an eyecatcher.
On the other hand I don't like the way they mounted the speakers into the cabinet. I would place a subwoofer with an additional amp into the lower part of the cabinet. The small speakers should be built in both sides of the cabinet :music:
