Another old time favorite actor James Arness

I still watch the show, of course on my old tv's. Lucky enough to get a personalized autograph from him. We are all richer for his life. Another WWII vet gone to his reward.

I also watch this 3 times a day in the winter on my old roundies, I have to say he would have made a good president or his character certainly would have for sure.

the passing of an american icon.james arness was definative western hero.marshall matt dillon set the standard for our heroes.there was much to learn from this great show.the contrast of the characters,the excellent writing, and the overall people studies.i watch this whenever i can.arness is still the hero i look up to.no other could have played this role.now he belongs to the ages.rest in peace james arness.
