Finally one shows up nearby.
Now that I've had one for a few years.
This is the set I was looking for for so long, at one time I would have paid the $199 but not now. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-1950s-60...item3a65845d5d |
I did not know that model was a metal cabinet set. Do you have a thread on the restoration if your set?

$250 ?!? Holy Schnikees, he thinks HIGHLY of it, don't he ?....

CaptMoody sold me one with the original stand for $25, the shipping cost a bit though because I used C&F, that's the reason I'd probably ante up for this one if I still needed it. I'm probably the only person on the planet (at the time) who would have paid that much for one of these so I suspect this one will go unsold, if it dropped to $50 I would consider it as a parts unit. |
GE Designer Series. A popular TV, lots of them sold.
The cabinet front and center section is plastic. Only the rear cover is metal. Decent TV. Will produce a good, stable picture. It is considerably overpriced. |
On this 21" model only the front section is plastic, the rest is metal, Aluminum cabinet with textured Vinyl/fabric covering, Steel back.
The 17" version had a plastic cabinet with a metal back and no handles on the side. This particular model and color is the same set I had as a kid, bought by my Dad when he and my Mom were first married. |
