VT71 Motorola question
 

An old friend was cleaning out his garage and found an original VT71/VT73 service manual from Motorola. It's incredible the amount of information it has but one thing caught my eye. An early VT71 had a 7F8 loctal as mixer oscillator instead of the 12AT7. Has anyone actually seen one with that tube in it?
My Silvertone has a number of them. Short little tubes!
