Nice RCA in Long Beach
 

I've been talking to the seller of this set. It looks clean and the CRT is probably good although I haven't tested it. I get first chance at it but I'm on the fence. I like the cabinet and it's a very watchable set. .

I like the looks of it; price is pretty high for what these go for, at least in my part of the country. I'd feel better at $50, but I wouldn't call you nuts paying $150 if you really like. Do make sure the crt is good before you shell out that much, though.

More like a $50 TV in these parts (near Seattle).

If the crt is good, and if the cabinet is in really nice condition go for it.
I recently paid 150$ for that 1960 Zenith Frederiksburg combo, what the hell, you only live once.

I have two RCA's of that vintage. They are both the same model and look simular to the set listed. The ones I have are the cheaper model chassis. It has a penthode tuner and a 21mhz. IF. The one shown has a cascode tuner and a 41mhz. IF. Also has two 5U4's, where mine has a 5U4 and a 5Y3. 21AP4 CRT. Good set, but not worth the asking price.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm still on the fence but we'll see what the weekend brings. I do get impulsive especially if I'm already headed in that driving direction. My guess is it will still be there. Sets don't move quickly in this area unless it's a rare set.

In other words the cabinet with the TV in it is worth less than the cabinet without the TV. just for a laugh I think I'll send the link for the seller with the cabinet with the TV to the seller of just the cabinet.

I wonder if those are granite shelves in that cabinet? Love the hardwood floors.
