As of about noon today, this set was still there. No idea about its electronic condition, but the cabinet is pristine, complete with piece of glass for the top.

Or Doug. The vintage fridge is cool too.

That's actually a vintage freezer. It was almost identical to this fridge:

It didn't have the automatic door, but it did have a really cool "Freeze-Index" in the door: color-coded cards on which you could list the contents of the various drawers and the dates you froze them.

There were two freezers more in the basement. Either these people were survivalists or they were cannibals.

Pork changed their slogan recently, so this now becomes possible: "People: The other white meat." :yikes:

That's a nice set, all my b/w Zeniths with the space command only have the 300. I'd grab it if it were closer, but I don't really want to drive out to Chicago now though. I'm thinking it's a '59 or a '60.

Wow, that looks very much like the Freezer we had when I was a kid back in 65.
I can't remember what brand it was but Westinghouse sounds right somehow.

CRAP! I'da grabbed it if I weren't so busy! I didn't even check my esate sale email. Oh well, I hope it went to a good home......

Did anyone end up grabbing this? I ask because, as God as my witness, I had a dream about it last night. Though in the dream it had doors...so maybe it was a conflation of this one and that CTC-5 I found at that Glencoe estate sale. Nothing much happened but the opening of the doors...but it was mysterious and beautiful.

Should I bring this up with my shrink this week?

If I forget my meds, I get dreams like that too.
