I have a ctc7 thats like the one in the second video. I wish I had the remote for it.

I hate that side mounted chassis setup. I dont know they ever went to that.

It's funny how the XL-100 ad touts reliability, and then shows one of the encapsulated MAD001 modules - they were the first to go in most of the early XL-100's we serviced. XL-100's were all about "MAD's, MAL's, CRTs, and triplers" we used to say...

Actually, the biggest problem I saw was the SCR's in the deflection ckts.

I have a ctc68 packed away I have never even turned on. This tread is making me want to pull it out and play with it for some reason.

I grew up in front of an XL100, the finest set we ever owned. Only had one diode fail in the power supply during the life of the crt. Thats the set that got me into tv sets

my daily watcher is a ctc 68.this is a bare bones set but the picture is amazing.very good sets and it actually has a sharper picture than my zenith chromacolor with a 25vdmp22 crt.close,but the xl100 takes it.
