Here's a new variant on the infamous word that nobody seems to know how to spell:

Looks like a 27" to me. They spelled the word better than most people. Only on one letter off. $20 firm? Wonder what the CRT looks like?

Another word some munge when listing items: transistor

You'll see it as transister, transitor, transisture, and many other misspellings. I used it to my advantage while snatching up transistor radios back in the early fleabay days. I got a "Zenit Transitor Stero" (sic) that way. It was a Zenith Royal 3000 in prime shape, got it for 7 bucks.

Philco with two l's, RCA Victer, Silvania, Generel Electric, and Comodore are all brands I picked up that way. I passed on the Reelistic and Chinnese stuff. :D

A good web/add designer would use all those spellings as searchable words to increase traffic. (if you cant beat em join em)
The poor spelling comes from the totally awesome whole language system we used to eduikate losers like myself.

Most of my eBay saved searches are misspellings. What's funny is when a big time outlet misspells stuff - Sears Outlet sales did that a year ago. I got a code reader for my Honda for cheap that way - only bidder in one of their 2.99 starting bid sales. Misspelled Keywords in HTML headers are indeed an SEO starting point!

I wish I had save one, when I was in the Air Force around 1970 near Columbus, Oh the telephone directory had listings for fone company, telefone, phone company... every variation that you could think of.

Guess they didn't want to miss out on any subscribers.

When CB radios were popular, I used to see lots of ads for a "bass station" or "bay station". None of those bases belong to me.
