New project, Tele Tone TV-149
4 Attachment(s)
Well the Philco console is finished and started on this little teletone that I rescued from a ewaste pickup center. Brought it home and a lot of work to get it back to working condition. The 7JP4 tube tests very good on the sencore and the chassis is mostly complete. A few pics of the chassis before and after the cleaning and getting ready to replace the caps and seleniums. The flyback was completely disconnected from the set and the cardboard tube cracked but repaired it and at least it ohms out well. I know how to pick em but just couldnt let it be thrown out.

Now to replace those large electrolytics, it's a bit of work but the restuffed cans look much better. now onto the chassis for the rest of the caps

Installed the restuffed electrolytic cans and then attached the repaired high voltage section. Just waiting for the 6kv caps and i'll be able to start the fire up.

Nice work. Those little chores always look so easy & quick when someone else does 'em!

Did the initial power up on this old teletone unit and was pleasantly surprised to get a raster and some sound. Hooked it up to my video source but picture so started troubleshooting with my TV Analyst and at east the video amps and sync system are working and now off to check the IF system and tuner front end for problems.
