At first look at the picture, I thought it might be a rare 10" tabletop but it seems to be a porthole console set.

Gee, I'd like to have it, but it appears that there may be more than tubes missing. I'd offer a Dyna Stereo 70, but it would need to be complete. :D

I have one just like it. It has the magnifier option on the button in the center of the tuning knob.. I paid $100 for mine plus about $200 to ship it up from Mertyl Beach, SC

It looks like it's all there except the tubes, that's just the way that chassis looks.

I think it's a 12" set. here is a photo of what the back looks like. And YES, it is called athe opera glass feature. On my set, it dosent work very well. I had a lot of problems getting the entire screen to fill. And linearity sucked too.

I'm pretty sure it's a 10" set, at least the tabletop version is and that looks like the same chassis with the same cabinet brace as the tabletop, and the CRT doesn't stick up any higher on this one.

I've rebuilt one of these chassis and they aren't the easiest thing to work on because a lot of the components are in the deep part of the chassis and tough to get to.

Bob, I'm pretty sure you'll find a bad resistor or two in one of the vertical circuits messing up your linearity, as I'm sure you know there are two circuits and two sets of controls for adjusting height and width for each setting of the "Opera Glass"

I think I set up the one I did with a 4:3 picture and black bars in the normal position and four way zoom in the Opera Glass setting so it filled the screen top to bottom and cut off the sides. That way heads don't get cut off in either position.

Eric, I finally got round to checking the size of the Stromberg porthole. It is for sure a 12" I acquired another version without the "opera glass" feature a while back which has a screen bezel just like the one in my photos above, except that the bezel on this latest acquisition is brass plated instead of being painted brown hammertone.

Well a 12" console makes more sense for sure!
