Antique 1940-50's Zenith Transistor TV-Rare
Wow! it uses those new fangled transistor bulbs
It looks similar to a 1956 Y2256E or Y2672E. Maybe someone can save this set from a cruel fate ? Quote:

I mind is a terrible thing.
I hope someone here can save it. |
transistor bulbs :lmao:
|
Does it use an 1N34 for the video detector? But that's still not a transistor bulb... :D
|
No wonder this set doesn't work,it's full of light bulbs!

"A mind is a terrible thing."
DaveWM- I've made that statement for years- never heard anyone else but it fits many situations. We had one customer at the shop I worked for years ago who even after several attempts at an explanation could not understand why his TV gave off heat….This particular customer's TV had what he referred to as a "pitcherbub". Wonder if he writes CL descriptions? |
Nya, nya, nya nya, nya na nya nya. Nya na nya nya. Nya na nya nya.

HA! I spotted that yesterday and almost fell off my chair laughing! "Transistor bulbs" Now I've heard 'em all. :screwy:

"I'm so stupid, I'm Oh-So Stupid, Tra-Lah, La-La-La-La-Lah..."

If you plant those transistor bulbs, do you get transistor flowers??
|
No, but, if you plant them, and, water your ground to soggy, it will become "Solid state". Ha!!!!:D:lmao::lmao::lmao:

You can chalk up the Transistor bulbs to a lack of understanding, but what's the excuse for encouraging wholesale mutilation? They excitedly say the TV works, right after suggesting you should turn it into a fish tank. Right, gut the working vintage TV so you can make a tacky aquarium.
