forum newbie with sony 301w questions

Hi all

Im a newbie here living in the south of england, UK. This is probably the start of my problems....

For a while now been looking to buy a baby sony 301 and finally struck a deal on a good condition worker complete with battery and cases! Only problem is that is US model, 301W. It makes a fine paperweight over here and bought it really as just love early japanese tech and its styling

I have a fair bit of electronic skills from my profession but am now wondering what are the chances of me converting this baby to PAL so i can watch the news over here??? That would be way cool!

If thats a big ask, might have to pick up a ntsc video recorder and a few tapes - would just love see this thing running.

Unless anybody has a 300E they would like to swap for it that is!

Anyway, hi to all and keep ploughing on with your historical tv interests

Same situation, just in reverse

Welcome to the fold!.Your problem can easily be solved with a multi system vcr that converts playback of videos to NTSC or perhaps a swap of the nesseary gear as i have a Murphy 310 and a Bush TV-22. cheers
