Help Identifying television from photo

Hello,

I have a photograph from my Great Grandmother's house taken in what seems to be the 1950's...I was just curious if anyone could ID the type of television set in the photo?

Any info that anyone can provide would be great!

Here's the photo:

Thanks!

Don't know about the TV but those little Emerson (706?) radios were sure cute.

Looks like a Stromberg Carlson except the knobs on my set are a different layout.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies!

rld-tv01, I was looking at a couple photographs online - as well as the one you posted - and I noticed that the "Stromberg Carlson" writing displayed on their television sets seems to be a bit larger than the logo on my G-Granmother's TV, no? It looks like a company that has a shorter name... "Philco" perhaps?

jr_tech, Thanks for the info on the radio!

Thanks again guys!

I enlarged the TV a bit and sharpened it as much as possible but you still can't read the name.
It looks like it might be two words though, possibly hyphenated?

I'll bet it gonna turn out to be a non major brand, possibly Air-King?

The ETF web sight auction 2008 there is the floor model that sold of that set that Chuck A. sold. It was a Silvertone just like yours with the radio on one side.

Awesome job guys! Thanks so much for your help!

Now can anyone tell me what television program was on the screen at the time this photo was taken?

Just kidding!:thmbsp:
