vintage mitsubishi projection tv
 

My neighbor has a 1986 projection tv. he wants to get rid of it and new I was into old TV's, however this is not somehthing I am interested in.

Does anyone collect these old sets? I was thinking his best bet if he did not want to curb it would be to try and sell the parts on ebay, He says it works fine.

those sets were hard on the crt's. had a lot of bad caps in them. dont get you hopes up as far as picture quality. when new they had an outstanding picture on them. just my 2 cents steve

not for me, I was just hoping to pass the info on.

If it's a mirror-front (front projection set, such as VS-502, etc), maybe it should be saved... I don't think there's any collector value though.

yea, who knows. Just no room for it for me, I am at 23 sets now, WAF is VERY LOW
