Airline '49 B&W looks SCARY close to 15GP22!
This one made me do a double-take... I could easily mistake this for a 15" color set at a glance, or even at a stare, if it weren't a view of the whole TV!

I have one of the table models in basket case condition. You are right, it does resemble a 15gp22 at first glance.
It does have an extremely weird tuner. Mine's CRT is good but the mice loved the chassis, especially the tuner area..... |
Looks like a 16" Zenith roundie bezel with a 15G behind it! Hope someone rescues it...

"Could make a Fish Tank..." Oh. Dear. God....

What is scary is that when I see a set like this, I start to think that something like a 16AP4 with a suitable mask would fit right into a CT-100 and look pretty good. A B/W picture might be better than no picture at all. :scratch2:

"Freshly removed from late grandmothers TV room"
From the looks of it Grandma was a pretty sloppy housekeeper. Anyways I'd love to have that set, it looks very cool for a console. The chassis is a Raytheon, I have a Truetone with the same one, Mice had made a home in it too, eating the two transformers on the back. |

Somewhere I have a broken 15GP22 with a good mask (blasted-off phosphor; not rebuildable), and I had some thoughts of somehow mating the mask and front glass to a 13" Sony WEGA flat tube. I bet it would look pretty good, but I'd be up for a fat lip from too many color TV purist friends. Charles |
