Sonys, Early 70s

I have two Sonys from the early 70s, a KV1730R and a KV1313. Any tips for keeping these going, typical problems, etc.

Thanks

Most of the time, the only thing you have to worry about are weak CRTs and bad caps in the power supply and sweep circuits. Also bad solder joints where ever heat is present (regulator, B+ dripping resistor, etc)

If you have access to one, use a CRT tester to check the emission and life test on the tube. Your restoration efforts will be in vain if the CRT is on its way out.
