hi all. found this forum while i was hunting a Sony S/M.

im a retired Sony tech. left in 2001. worked as a bench tech from 79-2001. manily worked on TV but also stereo/HI FI.

live in Gladstone, mo. a suburb of KC. maybe i can help or advise.......

My daily driver is a Sony KV-27FS12. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done and has never had a problem :)

Welcome to VK as well. I went to Sony training center in Atlanta around 2001. I can rip certain boom box models apart and put them back together blindfolded, almost. Same for that era VCR's.

I also use Sony TV's as my daily users. Both are early 1990's models. One has never been repaired. The other was dropped, had its chassis repaired by me, and run until it needed a new kine, and I installed one in 2009. It runs on....
