What's that knob above the radio dial? Seems like somewhat of an odd placement.

Fortunately this one's plenty far enough away from me...

Looking at the back it seems to be a switch to select running either the Radio or TV through the Amplifier?

I wondered that, too. Mode switch for TV/radio/phono? The cage behind it is labeled Television and Radio.

Interesting that they included a separate FM radio. If it has an Inputuner like my RA-103, that could have enabled integral FM. Maybe they just plopped in an existing AM/FM radio chassis.

Is that an eye tube behind the radio chassis? Maybe someone pulled it loose and forgot where it went . . . .

Ah, I bet that's it. On my Scott 800-B combo, you can play TV audio either through the 5" TV speaker or the radio's audio section with 15" coax speaker. Guess which sounds better :)

That set is 60 miles north of me, and, I'm gonna try to save it. I like it, and, will find room for that baby!
Wish me good luck, guys.

Hope you win it, Bill! That's a beautiful cabinet and it looks like it has loads of potential. I'm surprised to see such a fine set this far south!

Bill Cahill 09-14-2010 05:45 PM

Thanks!
I haven't been this excited about something in quite awhile!
Hope I get it. I love it!

Go for it, Bill. I would love to have that set, except for having no room and the 3000+ mile issue.

bandersen 09-18-2010 10:35 PM

Looks like nobody bid on it :(

Bill Cahill 09-18-2010 10:52 PM

I've been in touch with him. He wasn't going to take minimum bid. He wanted 200.00 for it. I offered a trade, I sent pictures.
He refused trade. Today, he canceled auction.
Now he tells me he will call me back in a week. He's moving.
I'll let you know what happens.
