Celebrating 60 years of Television

September 2010 marks the 60th aniversary of the introduction of television in Brazil. To celebrate this, a local TV network is exposing 20 sets of my collection in one shopping mall in my city. I even received some money for this. Pictures can be seen here:

And here I made a little video:

That is VERY nicely done! Glad to see they put this much effort into it. Many great looking sets that you have there.

That's really nice! What range of years did your sets cover? John

Quite a range, from what I see. Nice stuff!
I really love the display!
Great job!

My sets cover the period 1950 to 1985 ( when the first TV with stereo sound was sold ).

And thanks everyone for the kind comments!:thmbsp:

Color TV began here in 1972, but there were experimental color broadcasts in 1963 and 64.

Even Latin America beats Romania. That's an very intresting exhbition. Besides some old tvs and an 1963 Soviet broadcasting equypment + Soviet tv camera, there is no other old tv stuff and gear displayed in Romania. I've seen some 2" V.T.R.'s becuase I got the chance to enter in a tv staion, but for the public there is no V.T.R. displayed.
