Calling on those with expirence on the Dumont RA 103 and the 105 although i am not new to tv restoration getting two Dumonts will be new to my collection and i would prefere to avoide any pitfalls or mistakes. all suggestions are welcome.

I've done two of the 103 chassis, they are great sets and very easy to work on with lots of open space under the chassis..

Be very careful of the dial setup on them, the gears gum up with old grease and you can easily strip them if you try and force it.

They use a delay relay to hold off the B+ until the tubes warm up, the winding on the tends to open up, both sets I did had bad relays.

You can just wedge the relay shut to work on it but it can be replaced with a modern 5000 ohm relay. I just take the coil out and put it in the old frame.
