Vintage TV in Sac town
Ran across this on the CL.
Im assuming by the looks of it it's a Maggie. Anyone know what year/model? It looks a lil newer then 68 by the stereo layout. Im afraid if I dont save it, nobody will, I cant find anyone out in the Sacramento area thats a collector. There are a few in the Bay area thats not too far from here.. I see a remote there too. Astro Sonic? If I saved this set it would make the 4th Maggie cimbo I would own... http://sacramento.craigslist.org/zip/1816060017.html http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...shawns/tv1.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...shawns/tv2.jpg |
Yep, that's a '68 Maggie alright. I used to have that exact model. It is heavier than most of their other combos for some reason. Did you see the remote in the stereo compartment? Mine wasn't a remote but the '65 rectangular combo I have is. It looks just like your old Airline roundie combo in a French provincial cabinet but rectangular instead.

Yeah, I remember seeing that set in your TV page before. I dont know if I should get this set. The dude said it worked, so the condition of the flyback is unknown. I know these sets were flyback killers.

I have one for it that you can have if you decide to get it.
