I don't think it's a Zenith. Maybe a Westinghouse, Raytheon or Olympic ?

It's a Stromberg-Carlson model TC-10.

It looks like it has a flip up lid, I'm thinking phonograph, maybe RCA?

Yeah, I was thinking phonograph too. Hopefully, I'll find out soon for sure :D

Phonograph. I'll risk a guess and say Columbia, but hard to say for sure from the angle of view.

bandersen 06-04-2010 10:24 AM

Mystery solved - it was a Motorola phonograph :)

That Stromberg-Carlson is a nice set, glad somebody got it who will care for it. I considered going to look at the sale, but don't have room for more TVs.

AUdubon5425 06-04-2010 09:14 PM

and what's in that Norelco box on the right?

Phil Nelson 06-05-2010 12:43 AM

I'm a huge fan of Stromberg-Carlson build quality. I see that this chassis, like my 440M radio, has a built-in "roll cage" so you can turn it sideways or upside down on the workbench. Nice touch!
