Another Emperor on Craigslist

Somebody better grab it.......and chop it into fire wood cause thats about all its good for now.

Probably another case of the owner "not having the time to finish the job" as I'd be willing to bet that LCD was supposed to go inside. Its nice to know that "the stereo and phono were left for decoration"

ugh...

too bad as the cabinet looks to have been well kept.

Unless someone has a Zenith chassis that has been from a previous gut?? I wish I were closer as I have a RCA CTC-40 with hacked off sides... I know it's an RCA But I would make it fit and at least salvage some of it.

yep thats a good idea if you have one in need of a cab.

I'd pay $50 for it, plus something for handling if we could do it in one of our swaps Doug... Mine needs stereo and turntable work, plus one of my folding doors has minor damage.

I'd certainly ask the "MCM" fool if he still has the yucky old dangerous electronic guts... You know I need those too.

What a shame. And, that POS sitting on top of it doesn't make it look any better!

zenithfan1 05-27-2010 11:29 AM

Oh, goddamnit. I'm sick of people ruining old sets.

drh4683 05-27-2010 03:11 PM

I emailed the guy asking about the parts. He said everything was gone by the time he got it and that the radio stereo does not work because someone "took all the speakers out of it too" so who knows what the status is here. I personally like TV's being original and intact if I were to go after one. It would be a major crap shoot buying the huge thing for $50 not knowing what you have to work with.

freakaftr8 05-27-2010 03:34 PM

Oh that sucks.. The speakers are the hard parts to find.. Sure you could just drop in a pair of 15" woofers, but it would never soun d the same.
