Yeah, I saw that one too (triple thrill in wrigleyville :D). It's a stones throw away from me, but no room and no vehicle to handle it.
Weird a GE, RCA and Admiral 40s combo all in the same area within a couple weeks of each other.

Too bad you boyz ain't got The Mighty Valdez...It could swaller that thing w/o a burp...Mbwahahahaha...But it would bankrupt Jay Gould runnin' up to Duh Great Citty of Chicogguh to get it...Much less a poor ol' country boy like Yrs Trly. The Mighty Valdez has a, shall we say, PRODIGIOUS thirst ?!? Still, that bad boy is might purty...

I'm out here in the suburbs and picked up an RCA TA 182b today. This is all new to me but wouldn't that make another one here in Chicago in the last couple days?

Wow, that's one thing I don't like about living in Germany, missing deals like that! Germans don't let go of ANYTHING for cheap. It got so bad last week that I bought a giant Westinghouse WR-8 Columnaire radio (60" tall and weighs a ton) at an online auction from somewhere in Iowa and I don't have much of a clue what to do with it. I couldn't help myself. I'm thinking about asking my poor old mother how she'd like to babysit a beautiful art deco radio that's the size of a battleship until we return to the States...

There are about a dozen vintage TVs on the Chicago area craigslist right now. This a is a pretty good area for finding sets.
Admiral, Motorola, Sentinel and Zenith were based here - probably others too.
