Someone East should get this Stromberg
Nice looking set, with a back and apparently a strong CRT.
It's a Dumont chassis of course. http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-STROMBER...item5191c2c923 |
Heh, "test tubes".
|
Check out the ginormous power xfrmr: good stuff.
|
OK, I should probably be shot for this, but I put a bid on it. Wish me luck!

Good luck :D

You will not be disappointed. Looks like my RA-103 with the battleship-sized transformer and time delay circuit in the p-s. That is my most stable B/W set and it weighs a TON.

Somehow in the insanity I've actually managed to end up with more than one RA-103. This would fit in nicely... ...if the floor doesn't collapse beneath them all!
|
I believe the Crosley 9-407 uses the same chassis too. It's certainly very heavy!
|
Dave, theres another Stromberg at this years ETF auction. These two would go nicely with your pair of RA-103s. :D
|
This set does look like the RA-103 and 9-407. I would love to have it, but it is 3000+ miles away, darn it. I still regret selling my Crosley 9-407 in Chicago, not long after I bought it and years before I knew how to do a restoration.
