These passed through my hands a few years back. Both were in fabulous shape and the National actual had raster with nothing done so the guy who bought it had an easy fix.

Not many 1950's TVs to be had.
But, I just completed my one and only TV restoration.
Must be hanging around with the wrong crowd :-)

I have a Zenith identical to yours. It played when i got it but played even better once it was gone through.

Hey Sandy that Zenith is in your neck of the woods now. If I remember right it went to a couple of nice gentlemen in the vicinity Tulahoma which was kinda cool because that's where my parents were from.

Tullahoma is, I think, on the Cumberland Plateau, about halfway between Chattanooga & Nashville. IIRC, there is/was a USAF testing facility there. I'm up about halfway between Knoxville & Bristol, roughly 150-200 miles away. Never been to Tullahoma, only been to Nashville a couple of times. Spent 4 years incarcerated in a boys' boarding school in Chattanooga, though...(grin)

That National is beautiful. Must be a scarce model. The only Nationals I've seen in the flesh are the TV-7Ws (wood cabinet like mine, or the same chassis in metal).

Were the speakers missing on that one? On my TV-7W there are two speakers, one on each side of the CRT.

There was only one speaker and I had it out at the time for some reason that escapes me now.
