I Could be wrong here, but the knobs and layout look a lot like your lovely Sentinel.

It sure does and it has a similar grill pattern to the 435 in the 1951 line from tv history: http://www.tvhistory.tv/1951-Sentinel-Brochure.jpg. Maybe it's a 1950 model ?

Hmmm - I should really get that Sentinel running one of these days!

Wow - I never knew Field's had store-brand TVs. I wonder if they had other store-brand electronics (radios, phonos) as well?

If they did, they don't seem to be well known. I can't find any info about any.

I had a feeling someone would say that ;)
The only reason I hesitate is I'm a bit tight on space and I suspect it has the same chassis as two sets I already have. That can get kinda boring to work on.
