HV setting

On my recent freebee HD 32" now fixed phillips I noticed some an adjustment for the HV on the fly, what is the procedure for correct setting? This has a fly with two pots one for HV and one for focus.

When I got the set, it had kind of a gray cast and retrace line, turning down the HV fixed but I wonder if there is a "correct" way to set.

That should be the screen control and the way you set it sounds about right. A tad below where the retrace lines go away.

well what I did was turn it down to as low as possibe and still get a decent pic, I figure I would be not drive it any harder than has to be. I could go up a bit before the gray and retrace returns. Just wondering if there is a "right" setting or is it pretty broad. Guess with hind sight a middle ground would be good, that is before gray and just good, shoot for the middle?

Andy how can I tell if it has AKB?

I like to set the G2 to where it's bright enough that black still looks black. Once the black starts to lighten, it's too high.
