"mystery" old TV on Jackson, MS CL
Read the ad and I'm sure you'll find it comical. I did send them a message in an attempt to find out what they have. Who knows, it may be a CT-100. More than likely, it's some kid who has a '93 Zenith with a bad CRT that thinks it's an antique.

:D I've seen similar postings when searching for 'antique tv' on CL.
Like you said - usually an 80s-90s set. |
Ashley apparently has no idea that tube tv's are basically worthless.

I've been watching another "antique" console TV on CL. This "antique" is actually an early '80's RCA console (probably a CTC120). I think it started out at $50; but, is now FREE. They claim it must be gone by tomorrow. I'm sure it will wind up on the curb.

"It can be fix with the proper time effort and resources."
I love statements like that. Often times it means the set was in a fire or pushed down a flight of stairs or something. :) |
Finally heard from them. They said to give them a day or two to get the information that I requested.

Dear Ashley,
Pour a glass of water onto the top of the cabinet. After an hour or two, does the "wood" bubble up like rust under a vinyl top? What's a vinyl top? Well, when you bought something like a Buick...a Buick, yes......no, it was a car.... |

That's about the size of it. And, I still haven't heard back from them. I was sort of looking forward to seeing a '90's Zenith or RCA, or maybe one of those el cheapo '80's Sharp's. That would give me a good laugh!
