I have a chance to pick up a table top motorola and I have two questions. There is no back but the chassis is stamped TS-9D. Can any one give me the Sam's set/folder number for this? Also the owner insisted on running it to show me that it worked the last time they tried it. It came up with sound and only the top two thirds of the screen lit.Is that a red flag or just par for the course?

Is this by chance a VT-105 set?

The Sams should be a 67-13 but there are at least five variations of the TS9 chassis and I don't know if it covers the "D"

I have a factory service manual for it, I'm not sure how amenable it is to being scanned but i should be able to put something together for you.

The fact that it comes on with a raster is good news, all the basic parts are working, probably just a recap will get it going again.

The model number is not on the set. The sams I looked at covers TS9-a,b,+c and is a little different then mine. The a,b,+c have an extra 6sn7 where mine has a 12au7 instead.

If the factory manual has any option for a set with 2 - 6sn7's and 2 - 12au7's then I would be happy to see it. The sam's you listed is what I stumbled upon. Thanks, Doug.

Hi Doug, I have the schematic for that one, TS-9D used in the VT105, VK106 & VT-107 sets.

I can make you a scan of it, it's a large fold out sheet about the size of four sheets of standard sized paper, it'll take a little time, possibly later tonight or tomorrow.

I have a VT-105 with the TS-9C chassis and it makes a very sharp picture. :thmbsp:
