First one is a 16-incher, the combo set is a 12-incher, 1950 model.

John, the combo is a 16 incher too as i have the same model.

Isn't the 16" one's CRT Unobtainium?

It's a 12-incher, because the bezel extends beneath the knobs, and is painted a burgundy color... Tough to see until the photo is blown up. I attached photos of a 12" console, and a 16" combo unit.

The '51 uses the metal 16GP4, and I don't think those are too awful hard to find. The '51 model has plenty of room to stick a glass 16WP4 in it, which I did do on one set. It requires some ingenuity to support it properly, though.
