Just Scored a Zenith!
Just brought home a Zenith 23" color table set, 20CC3 chassis. This is from the huge hoard of sets I've been bringing home from my landlord/employer's place. Anyone know what year this set dates from?

I think the "C" line is from '72. Is this an all tube set or a 4 tube hybrid? I'll bet it works fine.
|
I goofed on the chassis number, it's a 20CC50. It's an all-tube set.

"c" is definitely early 70s .late71,early 72.the very best sets of all time were those flat chassis zeniths.still looking for a flat chassis myself.plug yours in,sit back and enjoy!bulletproof and indestuctible.ran into one last winter.it was in an old rundown double.the owner lived in the other side and was being forced out due to imminent domain by the local childrens hospital.i went next door and found it.her friend plugged it in and turned it on.hasnt been used for over 20 years he said.the high voltage hit and the crt illuminated the entire room.bright, crisp and super sharp!he told me that the set was better than his plasma.cabinet was workable and i made the "deal".unfortunately for me,i couldnt get it in time and it was left in the house when they demolished it. i have been searching quite a long time for one and i let it slip away.only hope to find another somewhere.enjoy yours.i am happy for your good fortune!

Great stuff. Bet it looks awesome.
I want a pedestal Zenith, the 25CC25 one. |
I'd like to have one of the large metal cabinet early '70's flat chassis Zenith's to replace an aging (or, should I say, dying) 19" Philco. Actually, the cart that the Philco is sitting on was made for one of those large table sets.
