New postage stamps of interest to Vintage TV Collectors
 

U.S. Postal Service released for sale today a panel of new stamps celebrating early TV stars and shows.

I thought some of you Vintage TV folks might like them and want to pick some up at your local Post Office!

I saw them last week at my post office -----AWESOME !!

Well, I know what my next batch will be! I don't collect stamps, really, but when something neat enough comes out I'll buy it to save. Might have to do it with this one.

They have a sales poster in the local post office (probably in most of 'em) that features a mock-up a fifties console TV. (at least that is how it looks to me) I always see it and wonder why they didn't use something authentic?

Hmph. Dinah Shore should be in color.

Unfortunately I remember all of them. You can click on the picture an it will enlarge somewhat to read the names underneath each pic. Very cool

Actually, her first color show was in early 1954--a short color kinescope of it still exists.

They were ALL Black and White at my house until 1965!
 

But that was just a special, not a regularly scheduled show like what would come in 1956, wasn't it?
