I think that same guy asked questions on ARF concerning the value of that set. I don't think he wanted to hear what they had to say.

At least he starts out with a statement that is more realistic and appropriate (caps are his) :

I don't see a lot of humor in that listing, other than the BIN price. I see a lot of English mistakes that suggest a non-native English speaker. But I think he was trying to make a legitimate listing. The BIN price could be naive optimism plus ignorance of real value. There is a school of thought that says posting a high BIN price encourages people to impute higher value to the item, and thus gets them to bid higher than they might otherwise.

Well, times are tough and that can drive people to do silly things in desperation. or Maybe he just read that book "The Secret" and he is trying to bring wealth into his life through positive thinking.:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I like that Buy-It-Now price the seller has added. When I have listed things on Ebay, many times someone has sent me a message "Can you add a Buy It Now price?". Probably, they are hoping I would add some low price to the item. This TV will keep those people quiet, not that it is likely to get a lot of bidders anyway.

The opening bid ought to the the buy-it-now... I'd laugh all the way to the bank if I could get $50 for one of those! And that seller's sense of humor will sour when he gets his eBay bill for that buy-it-now price!!!!!!!!
