Good looking Zenith Console in Denver

I kinda like this one... Do we have anybody near Denver?

Why must Ebay sellers write riddles?

Quote:

Cabinet is in really great condition, the picture is not so much if ever.
Can't you just say "picture sucks"? Which I doubt since it's a System 3 Chromacolor. Ugh.

That seller is a complete maroon. Look at this sentence:
"It's time to paint, and the TV used to display picture frames is no longer necessary."

I believe what he's trying to say is that they used to use the top of the set to display pictures on, and for some reason (new shelves?) the TV is no longer needed for that.

Check out the form of payment request: "$1 CASH IS GOOD"

Cash? Really? I was hoping you would take a check or perhaps trade for some porno store tokens. Dolt.

This guy is offering a tv with a nice cabinet for a buck and you guys are giving him beak?C'mon now.

heathkit tv 08-18-2004 02:26 PM

Yep, as a matter of fact....I'll break his beak (and his balls too!) LOL

It's not so much the item or the price, it's just the crappy way he's written the auction. Anyone else find the twisted irony in the horrible state of the written word now that the Internet is here?

I wholly expect a response along the lines of "Ur write, it sux."

Some of my favorite pet peeves are the improper use of the following:
Your You're
Sell Sale
Their There
Where Were
Weather Whether
Ad Add
ad infinitum

yes heathkit i agree with u. it seems like people cant even write a simple sentance anymore.

what the hell does the picture frame thing mean? for a second i thought he mean that the set didn't work and was gutted to display a picture.

the best way to describe the picture is "the picture is not so much if ever."? what is that supposed to mean?

its like he goes "hey i think i'll put this on ebay" and then he goes "I'll tell everybody that I'm painting a room" and then he goes "done".

you gotta wonder how these people get threw life, reading contracts and doing taxes and stuff. Since the primary job of a TV is to show pictures, and you are taking a picture, why not take a picture of it working? thats wacky.

capital letters, punctuation, spellin' and proper english is for old farts.
