Philippe Starck Galaxy 36 or Zeo TV question

Hello.

I'm interested to know if anyone can tell me what they know about this set. Personal experiences with quality / reliability?

Also, can it receive any wall connection signals, i.e. satellite or cable. I wouldn't be surprised if it were antenna reception only given its billing as a "portable" television.

I was thinking of buying one (for mostly its looks) for my office. But, if there's no way to receive a signal through today's methods - even with the help of aftermarket devices - then that completely sours the prospect.

Any advice would be most appreciated! And I'll definitely pitch in around here. Thanks.

They were made by Thomson. While I haven't seen that version in the designer cabinet I've had a couple of the standard cabinet version come through here. They were decent enough sets with better than average build quality. The ones that came through here both had vertical failure which is a common problem, but a cheap and easy fix. They do have AV inputs, so it can be connected to a set top box (cable, satellite, etc) with standard cables.

If you are in the USA you will need step up transformer (Europe uses 220-240V) and a NTSC to PAL converter.
