Well, Penn certainly is a stooge... But, I agree that this is a very bad idea. The horror... the horror...

No one on here will see it. Only teenagers. And the stupid ones will like it.

This movie sounds like career suicide.

The IMDB page for this movie has Johnny Depp listed as playing Moe Howard. Weird, weird, weird.

I feel that no good at all can or will come from this. Whoever dreamed this up needs a good slap.

Leave it to Hollywood to ruin a perfectly good thing. If they're going to continue with this half-baked idea, they should get a little more creative in their casting. Carrey? Del Toro? Sheeeeesh. I'd start with Jack Black as Moe....the rest of the gang here can fill in the blanks.

There was a made for TV movie about the Stooges already, from Wiki

"spring of 2000, longtime Stooge fan Mel Gibson executive produced a TV movie (The Three Stooges) about the lives and careers of the comedians. Playing Moe was Paul Ben-Victor; Evan Handler was Larry; John Kassir was Shemp; and Michael Chiklis was Curly. It filmed in Sydney, Australia and was produced for and broadcast on ABC. It was based on Michael Fleming's authorized biography of the Stooges, The Three Stooges: From Amalgamated Morons to American Icons. It is a good film and they really did an excellent job with it.
