Trinitron question

One of the guys on an Acura board asked me this:

"I have family members visiting from the UK at the moment. One of their kids somehow messed with my Sony Trinitron and I've got it all back to normal except for one annoying problem:
I can't get rid of the green Channel # displayed at the top right hand of the screen. When I do get it away, the display switches to the left side and says Video 1, or Video 2, or Video 3, or Video 4. No matter what I seem to do with the remote, I can't get rid of these annoying "features."

Anyone have any idea?

Just press the display button on the remote. Sony TVs keep it on until you manually turn it off.

Yeah, I had a big XBR that had that feature. IIRC, it was sort of a "hidden" function. -Sandy G.
