This set was made in 1985, as the item description shows. I've seen ads for these in 1980s magazines as well.
I don't know why this is called a "corner" TV. However, the true "corner" televisions from Zenith, IMHO, were its System 3 models with the curved console cabinet, which were introduced in the late '70s and continued into the early eighties; these could fit very nicely into a corner of a room. I don't see how the set described in that eBay listing could fit into a corner, as it's too big and too geometrically square (the cabinet has no curves, except at the base). A large amount of floor space is needed, though, since this set is perhaps four feet long or thereabouts, not unlike the old console stereos, not to mention 3-way TV/AM/FM/phono entertainment units of the '50s-'70s, used to be.
