Now it's ripe for a custom cabinet! Be creative...
I'm not sure if I've ever really seen a Sampo. When I was a kid there was a chain of TV stores that advertised on the DC channels (Whatever you want, whatever you need, whatever you want's at Belmont!) and they pushed these. That name just always sounded cheap to me, like a rip-off of a Samsung, which itself was no prize in those days.
Last week my wife and I were minding our own business when there was a loud C-R-A-S-H!!! I looked out the window-I figured a truck must have run into a pole or something. Nope. Uh-oh. My wife knew what had happened and I sorta did, too, but didn't want to admit it. It was something upstairs. So, I go up there, the radio room was okay-good, the shelves hadn't fallen down! I open the attic door and there had been an avalanche. All this stuff I had piled up had fallen over. Oh, the humanity! AA5 cabinets that had completely fallen apart, one of my cleanest tranistor Trans-Oceanics had taken such a hit that it cracked the pot metal case, the only TV on the pile was a Panasonic, one of those with the screen that pops up. It lost a corner of the cabinet but otherwise appears intact. Anyway, the new pile isn't as high. I really need to get rid of some stuff! That T-O really upset me.
